• Interviews will be 45 min using the WaterlooWorks Integrated Webcam.

• You may prepare concise graphics to present for the Robust skills section.

Robust skills (30 min)

• Jeffrey (interviewer) will describe one of the six skills.

• You will express your interest, experiences, and performance.

TOOLS

• Microsoft, Google, Kanbanflow, Mathcad, Solidworks, Ansys, Risa, Bluebeam, AAA (Robust in-house automation suite).

• Visual Studio, Python, Apps Script, Visual Basic, AutoHotkey, ChatGPT.

• Standards, templates, and Robust modules.

SALES

• High quality client reports with clear presentation and communication.

• Visual styles and colour-coded themes for quick results processing.

• Preparing conceptual models and estimates for client discussions.

RESEARCH

• Literature reviews and expansion of design and engineering knowledge.

• Scientific research and experimental development.

• Sensitivity studies and parametric engineering analyses.

DESIGN

• Structural, mechanical, and software system architecture.

• Defining and applying customer criteria.

• Shaping materials and geometry for fabrication and construction.

ENGINEERING

• Structural and mechanical strength and serviceability analyses.

• Welded, bolted, and concrete foundation connection designs.

• Verification and validation of calculations and standard operating procedures.

EDUCATION

• Create video content and documentation to "pay-forward" your new skills and experiences.

• Present a Google Slides work term summary and reflect on your milestones and achievements.

• Contribute to the overall University of Waterloo co-op program and help Robust Engineering attract the best engineering talent.

Terms & Conditions (5 min)

• Average undergraduate engineering co-op rates from the University of Waterloo published data.

• Fully remote operation using your own Windows 10 computer, with Robust software installed.

• Equipped with this 3D connexion mouse which will be gifted as a Bonus if the student achieves an Outstanding co-op term rating.

• Flexible start and end dates, with a minimum of 15 weeks for the term.

• Workload and compensation is based on 40 hours/week.

• 4 hours/day core working hours (mornings).

• 4 hours/day flexible hours (afternoon and/or evenings).
